Residents have enjoyed making and tucking into pancakes for Shrove Tuesday over at HC-One’s The Gables care home in Eastrea, Whittlesey.
Residents had the opportunity to make their own pancakes and test out their pancake-tossing skills. They then loaded them with their favourite toppings, be it chocolate spread, strawberry sauce or lemon and sugar, before tucking into the treat.
Ron, a Resident at the home and expert pancake-flipper, said: “I’m good at this!”
For those wary of dropping their pancake, Colleagues went around the home with a pancake trolley to deliver the treat throughout The Gables.
Some Residents even took part in a pancake-tossing competition to see who could flip it the most times before losing it to the floor. This was a first time for some Residents and they were eager to try out the skill.
The Gables Resident Lilly exclaimed: “I have never done this so well!”
