Residents at
Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Consett, were really happy to be celebrating Pancake Day.
Pancake Day was a lot of fun. It turned into a competition for some of the Residents at who was the best at tossing the pancake. Catherine, a Resident, said, “I have always loved pancakes, as a young girl me and my mum used to make them together.”
Residents had a choice of many different toppings. Lots of cream and strawberries were used to decorate the pancakes. Everyone involved enjoyed eating the pancakes and eating with all of their friends
.
It was great for the Residents to choose their own filling, Mac, another Resident, commented, “Is there any more pancakes, they are lovely!” The chocolate spread and cream was a winner for all the Residents!
Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We had so much fun, the pancakes were so tasty and the Residents really enjoyed them.”
