Residents of The Hyde were delighted to welcome a new friend into the home when Home Manager Nicola Grinton visited a nearby animal rescue shop, and Ozzy the guinea pig caught her eye.
Of course, she couldn’t help herself once she saw him, and she imagined how happy the Residents would be to meet and welcome him into their caring home. Everyone was overjoyed when she brought him back to the home, and he has settled in nicely, with Residents enjoying regular cuddles and chin nuzzles from him.
Residents especially enjoying watching in amazement as Ozzy plays around making small noises. He has been a wonderful addition to the home.
Nicola, Home Manager, commented: “it’s been lovely to see the Residents with Ozzy, stroking and cuddling him. It’s such good therapy for them and his company helps to lift their moods if they are ever upset.”
