Owls make flying visit to Haslington care homeHC-One’s Hollymere House care home in Haslington received a visit from owls Spike and Grudle from Stockley Farm.

Owl handler Pam brought the birds to visit the Residents as part of the homes interactive wildlife sessions, everyone took turns to hold and interact with Spike and Grudle.

The Residents were delighted to meet the owls and learn about them from the comfort of the lounge.

Peggy, a Resident at Hollymere House commented:

"It’s amazing to see such wonderful animals so close up and it's lovely that they were brought in for us all to enjoy."

Hollymere House Wellbeing Coordinator Kate Rigby said:

"Owl and pet therapy visits are always really popular at our home. They are just one of the many varied and interesting activities we organise for our residents on a regular basis. 

"It was a privilege to see such wonderful animals and a big thank you to Pam from Stockley Farm for bringing them in to spend time with us."
