Outstanding celebration at Spennymoor care home HC-One’s Lothian House care home in Spennymoor, County Durham had a big celebration after receiving the highest possible rating, an overall ‘outstanding’ in the home’s recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

Residents, friends, family and members of the team came together for a day of celebration with live entertainment, a ‘prosecco buffet’ and a puppet show. Spennymoor Town Mayor, Mr Clive Maddison also attended the celebrations at Lothian House where he socialised with Residents and congratulated the team on their outstanding achievement. 

The day started with a singing puppet show which enjoyed by all and was followed by a performance from local singer, Mark Carter. Everyone tucked into a delicious homemade buffet, some even enjoyed a tipple or two from the prosecco buffet on offer.

A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting on how amazing the day was from start to finish, one Resident even said it was the best day they have had at Lothian House, which put a smile on everyone’s face.

Lothian House Home Manager, Jill Carr said: “What an amazing day to celebrate such a wonderful achievement, I would like to thank my Colleagues for organising such a memorable day and for the work they do day in and day out for our Residents.
