Outstanding carnival party at Roker care homeFalstone Court care home in Roker, Sunderland – part of HC-One, the kind care company – welcomed friends, family, members of the community and Julie Elliott, local MP to a special carnival-themed party on Friday 5th July

The home was beautifully decorated for the day with balloons, bunting and authentic carnival stalls, including a ticket office, coconut shy, tin can alley and sweet shop, all to celebrate the home’s recent ‘Outstanding’ Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating.

Guests were greeted upon arrival by members of the team, who were all wearing an ‘Outstanding’ sash. Each visitor received a complimentary soft or alcoholic drink and were guided to the home’s courtyard garden where Residents were already enjoying celebrations in the afternoon sunshine.

Falstone Court pulled out all of the stops to provide quality entertainment throughout their event, including a singer, stilt walker, juggler, hula dancer and miniature ponies. Residents and visitors were amazed by all of the entertainment on offer and enjoyed dancing to their favourite music. 

The afternoon was topped off with a delicious buffet filled with canapés and cakes for all, everyone commented on how lovely the food was and what a wonderful afternoon they had.

Falstone Court Care Manager, Julie Merritt said: “The day couldn’t have been any better, everyone was in high spirits from start to finish and the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all. It was great to have the opportunity to celebrate the amazing work each and every member of the Falstone Court team.”
