Bluebell View Care Home in Shropshire welcomed the community for fun and festivities at their very first Advent Craft Fayre.
The home was buzzing with an array of local stalls bursting with handknitted items, festive giftware, seasonal treats and even a stall from Bluebell View’s residents, Joyce Stanford and Barbara Moore.
Joyce 98 and Barbara 91 had been busy preparing handmade items for the Fayre months in advance and had a huge success in selling their creations, raising £200 in total.
Special guest Reverend Keith Musson joined the care home for the celebration AND gave a heartwarming speech about the true meaning of Advent and the festive season.
The Oswestry Ladies Choir gave a fabulous performance of well-known carols which got everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Michelle Middleton Price, Home Manager at Bluebell View said,
“ Everyone had a superb time! We are so grateful to everyone who joined us.”
Staff and residents at Bluebell View are hoping to make the Advent Fayre an annual affair and look forward to welcoming everyone back next year to recreate this years celebrations.
