Oldbury care home help raise money and awareness for local communityResidents at nursing care home, Warrens Hall, have been raising awareness for a handful of different charities in the local Tividale area.

Colleagues and Residents have been hard at work with their charity work. They hosted a Macmillan coffee morning to raise cancer awareness, contributed with Alzheimer’s ‘Go Purple’ day and also raised some money for Children in Need.

Residents helped with providing cakes, homemade badges and a purple day sponsor are just a couple of the ways they have helped raise some funds. During their Harvest Festival, they collected 2 food hampers for Barnardo’s and the local food bank through the Cooperative Food. There was also a hamper of chocolate collected for the local school and another hamper for the charity War Paws.

It has been an inspiring time at Warrens Hall over the last couple of months, with Colleagues and Relatives being very supportive with all that they have been working on. The care home received lots of praise from the charities, with one company saying, “Wow this is amazing, so kind and thoughtful. Thank you everyone at Warrens Hall”.

Residents loved being Charity Champions, helping to raise vital funds for their chosen causes. One Resident went on to say, “Seeing what everyone has done for our local community is so inspirational, what a caring team”.

Stacey, Wellbeing Coordinator at Warrens Hall said, “We are so proud of the team here at the home, they have worked so hard to help people in our local community”.
