Old friends reunite at Birmingham care homeTwo Residents at HC-One’s Lyndon Hall care home were delighted to reunite with one another after the home introduced their first ‘gentlemen’s club’ for Residents to take part in hobbies and activities together.

Jack and Cyril were delighted as they attended the first meeting of the ‘club’, recognising each other from 50 years’ ago, when they lived on the same housing estate and would attend the same bowling club and public house together.

Unfortunately, the pair lost contact with one another as Jack’s wife sadly passed away and he moved away.

They now enjoy meeting regularly in the home and reminisce about their old times together, as they enjoy playing card and domino games in the ‘gentlemen’s club’, watching old sporting films.

Julie Hurst, home manager, commented: “It’s great to see our ‘gentlemen’s club’ taking off so well, it’s heartwarming to see friends being reunited with one another.”
