Residents in Abermill Care Home, Caerphilly, are delighted to be chosen to participate in an exciting new scheme.
The Nurseries and Nursing Project is ran over a 6 week period and sees children from the ages of 3-5 years old visiting the home on a weekly basis for an hour of fun.
This can be anything from singing, poetry or even story telling and is a wonderful way of bridging the gap between old and young. Residents find the visits theraputic and love seeing the children.
Home Manager, Christine Tipper commented:
"This is a fabulous project and it is great to see how the children's confidence had grown each week. The engagement between the children and Residents was truly heartwarming to see."
