Fosse Way View Care Home, in Nottingham, is delighted to announce the launch of its special Valentine’s Day campaign, “What Love Means to You.” This initiative is designed to engage residents in heartfelt activities, reflecting on the love they have experienced in their lives, both past and present, while embracing the spirit of the season.
Valentine’s Day can sometimes bring up mixed emotions, which is why Fosse Way View has been working closely with residents over the past couple of weeks to ensure the day is filled with positivity and warmth. The team has been organising a series of fun, creative activities including crafting, decorating the home, creating Valentine’s Day cards, and writing poems that explore the theme of love.
A particularly touching moment emerged when one of the residents revealed that she had never received a Valentine’s Day card before. This discovery was met with immediate action, as the team made sure to include her in all activities, ensuring she received not only a card but also the outpouring of love and affection from her fellow residents.
Elizabeth Wood, Senior Home Manager, said:
“Valentine’s Day is a fabulous opportunity for the residents to share the love throughout the home, reflecting on what love means to them, and thinking of all the people who have made a special impact in their lives.”
At Fosse Way View, the bonds between residents are truly something special. While Valentine’s Day can be a tough day for some, the community’s strong sense of friendship and mutual support creates an environment where everyone can enjoy the day in their own meaningful way.
Fosse Way View’s “What Love Means to You” campaign is a beautiful reminder that love is about more than just romantic gestures; it is about celebrating the connections we share, the memories we cherish, and the way we care for each other.
