Nottingham Care Home partners with local school for heartwarming community initiativeResidents at HC-One’s Fosse Way View Care Home in Bingham, Nottingham, had the pleasure of reading the thoughtful responses from children at Robert Miles Junior School as part of HC-One’s "Cool to Be Kind" campaign.

The children shared beautiful examples of the kindness they had both given and received, making it clear how deeply they understood the importance of kindness in their community.

After reviewing these lovely stories, three winners were chosen by the residents at HC-One’s Fosse Way View Care Home, and each received a fabulous prize.

Yvonne Kennedy, one of the residents involved in the judging, expressed her joy at meeting the polite and thoughtful children. She thanked the organisers for giving her the opportunity to visit the school and present the prizes.

Yvonne Kennedy, resident at HC-One’s Fosse Way View Care Home, said:

“I was very impressed with the children’s kindness to each other, and I am very thankful to meet them all.”

Fosse Way View Care Home are making plans for future events with the teachers and children at Robert Miles Junior School and can’t wait to see the meaningful intergenerational relationships and connections between the children and the residents develop.
