Northwich fire station servicemen welcome care home resident who served for 31-yearsA resident at HC-One’s Acorn Hollow Care Home in Lostock Gralam, Northwich, Cheshire, enjoyed a nostalgic trip to a Northwich fire station after serving as a firefighter for 31-years.

Fred Cash, resident at Acorn Hollow, served at Knutsford Fire Station for 31-years. During his time as a firefighter, Fred covered other stations in Cheshire, Altrincham, Stockport, Sale, and Manchester.

Rachel Astles, HC-One's Acorn Hollow Care Home Manager, said:
“Fred had been reminiscing about his past and we contacted the fire brigade to see if we could arrange a surprise visit for him! He absolutely loved it and told me how much it had all changed since he was a fireman.”

Fred Cash, HC-One's Acorn Hollow resident, stated:
“My visit to Northwich Fire Station brought back lots of good memories from when I worked for the fire service. I loved the day out!”
