Northwich care home Residents enjoy a boogie with a smoothieHC-One’s Avandale Lodge care home Residents enjoyed an afternoon of smoothie making with a twist.

Each Resident participated in choosing the type of smoothie they preferred, as they chose from various fruits including strawberries, mango, and bananas, alongside various fruit juices which could accompany the fruits.

Some smoothies even included fresh mint that had been grown in the home’s garden and picked by Resident, Edgar. Hawaii music played as Residents made garlands to wear around their necks, and everyone enjoye singing along to the music.

Relatives had also attended the afternoon and danced along with Residents whilst the children also sang for them. Everyone had thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Samantha Farahat, Home Manager, commented: “A wonderful afternoon was had by all, Residents have really enjoyed creating their own smoothies, and it’s been lovely to see them interacting with each other as they created their garlands and sang together.”
