Northwich Care Home Enjoys Success in CQC ReportHC-One’s Daneside Mews Home in Northwich, Cheshire is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The team at Daneside Mews were delighted to have received an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents, demonstrating that the home is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible, and Well-Led.

The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues Daneside Mews, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for Residents at the home. This sentiment was echoed by Residents, who made remarks such as “everything the staff do for me makes me feel safe”, “If I am fed up, [staff] will come and have a chat with me and this makes me feel better.”

Cards could be found in the home thanking the staff for the support they had provided to people, one reading: “I cannot put into words how much my family value the care that our precious relative received during their time at Daneside Mews.” One relative remarked “they [staff] give me peace of mind”.

Inspectors also commented on an initiative found at the home called "fiddle boards", which were located in several corridor areas. Designed for adults living with dementia, these boards featured a wide variety of common, day-to-day items that would be familiar and easily recalled by people, acting as a great source of comfort and stability for Residents affected by the condition.
