North Shields care home make appearance on Koast RadioResident Norma Lewis and Lee Holdroyd, Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Redesdale Court in North Shields, make an appearance on Koast Radio to talk about their Harvest Festival and their amazing collection efforts.

The team at Redesdale Court, Residents and family members collected donations ahead of their Harvest Festival on Friday 5th October and altogether collected enough for an incredible 7 boxes of food, which they then donated to their local foodbank – The BAY Foodbank.

Founded in 2012, The BAY Foodbank was set up by locals who wanted to help those in need and has provided emergency food parcels for over 35,000 vulnerable individuals or families in North Tyneside.

When The BAY Foodbank commented on their Facebook page about the donation from Redesdale Court, Koast Radio contacted Lee and asked if they would like to appear on the radio to talk about what they did and what they have planned for the local community in the future.

The Residents loved collecting donations for their local food bank and being on the radio to discuss their Harvest Festival celebrations.

Koast Radio commented:

“Well done to everyone at Redesdale Court for all of your hard work.”

Sue Holdroyd, Senior Lead at Redesdale Court, commented:

“All of the Residents, staff and family members have all pulled together and worked hard to collect donations for our local charities.”
