Hazel Southern, Area Director at HC-One has signed up to complete 100 skips a day during February to raise money for Cancer Research.
When Hazel was looking on Facebook at others who were completing the challenge and saw some were unable to complete the challenge. She thought it would be a great idea for her Home Managers to help and do some skipping.
At the recent Home Managers meeting held at St Clare’s Court, Newton Aycliffe, Hazel brought along skipping ropes and asked the managers to add some additional ‘skips in the pot’. Sarah Todd, Caitlin Hayes, Lyndsey McMullen, Nikki Mould, Karen Fleming, Bobby Moore and Angie Douglass limbered up and were ready to challenge themselves.
The managers rose to the challenge and were skipping outside along with Hazel. The Residents were intrigued and were clapping along and encouraging the managers to keep going.
Hazel has been posting her skipping challenge on social media and everyone is thrilled she is getting others involved in the challenge. She even had a comment on one of her posts from Cancer Research, which stated, “Wow, amazing work everyone! So lovely to see you all taking part and raising money for Cancer Research UK.”
Hazel, was thrilled with everyone taking part and she said, “I am so proud of the team, thanks guys!”
