No summer blues in sight for Residents at Hayes Care HomeResidents and the team at HC-One’s Aston House Care Home in Hayes, Middlesex said goodbye to the summer on Friday and hello to the autumn with a good old party.

There has been some major changes recently at Aston House with Mevin, the previous Home Manager, leaving and as a result the atmosphere hasn’t felt the same but the team are still providing the best care and still strive to remain the best at everything they do, just as Mevin would have wanted them to.

A party seemed the best way to lift everyone’s spirits with music, party food and games. It brought a smile to everyone’s faces, despite the gloomy weather outside.

Marie recently celebrated her 100th birthday and was up dancing with their newest Resident, Janet, who is also 100 years young.

There’s no summer blues to be seen at Aston House, with Ken shaking his hips along to the music and Vera happily watching, tapping her feet and snacking on Tiramisu.

Ken was particularly touched when the entertainer sang a couple of songs by Frank Sinatra as it brought back memories from when he met him in person at one of his concerts in London. He commented:

“It was one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I will never forget it.”
