HC-One’s Averill House and Brookdale View care homes in Newton Heath recently came together as they took part in Pride celebrations.
The homes hosted the LGBTQ+ celebrations on this date as events were also taking place in Manchester city centre in support of Pride. Colleague, Anthony Griffiths, was able to receive kind donations from various organisations in support of the event, including Tesco, Natwest and Barclays.
Colleagues within the home went to so much effort to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves, with Residents enjoying the colourful atmosphere and celebrating in the garden, with some even opting to enjoy a small tipple of champagne.
Everyone has especially enjoyed how both homes have came together and worked hard as a team to make the day special for Residents.
Elizabeth Walker, Brookdale View Home Manager, commented: “This has been such a fantastic day in support of Manchester Pride. All Residents have really enjoyed themselves, as they enjoyed the dancing and entertainment. It’s such a great occasion.”
