Residents from both
Defoe Court and
St Clare’s Court care homes in Newton Aycliffe went along to the cinema to see a new blockbuster movie.
On the 26th of January Residents, Eileen, Ted and Lily, from both care homes went along to Teesside Cinema for a private screening of the new Whitney Houston movie.
The viewing was arranged in a private and accessible room so the Residents could relax watch the movie.
All three of the Residents really enjoyed the cinema experience and loved the film. The Residents took a packed lunch along with them and got some drinks and snacks whilst at the cinema.
It was a great day out. Ted, one of the Residents, said, “I haven’t been to the cinema for such a long time, I forgot how much I enjoyed it.”
Lily, added, “I learnt so much about Whitney’s life. I wasn’t aware of some of the songs she had sang. Such a wonderful day out.”
Sarah Todd, General Site Manager, added, “Having the two homes work together is great team work, our team always try to ensure Residents continue to enjoy activities they have always loved.”
