Christmas has come to
Newlands residential and nursing care home, located just outside of Stockport, as the Christmas games and foods have made an appearance this December…
Colleagues had a game of ‘Santa Says’ on 10th December with the Residents and they loved it. This was a Christmassy twist on the traditional ‘Simon Says’ game. Wellbeing Colleague Michel hosted the game with Residents Thirza, Kath, Maureen, Ann and Norma, who all thoroughly enjoyed it.
One of the Residents remarked, “That was such a laugh!”
On 4th December, Newlands held their own ‘Cookie Day’ where some Residents and Colleagues took a little outing to the shops and bought some delicious cookies to share with everyone at the home.
All enjoyed picking the cookie flavours and there were many wonderful comments such as, “These are delish!”
Wellbeing Coordinator, Rachel, said, “The Residents loved the cookies, and this was a great activity for them! So many laughs and smiles throughout.”
