Brand-new residential care home, Crofton Springs in Cheltenham, welcomed the Mayor of Cheltenham Councillor Paul Baker to its Grand Opening earlier this month.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception and canapes, live entertainment, a petting farm, complimentary refreshments and goody bags, and exclusive tours of the home’s state-of-the-art facilities.
After the official ribbon cutting ceremony, the Mayor of Cheltenham said:
"Wow, this is certainly a five-star care home! The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed, the décor was stunning and the facilities for residents truly incredible with beautiful landscaped gardens, a hair salon, a chiropody clinic, library, lots of areas to sit and chat and play games and beautiful dining areas and a superb chef.
"As well as offering a beautiful place to live the home will be filled with compassion, dignity, respect and most importantly joy. And it was a joy to meet and chat to staff who were all so friendly and smiley and looking forward to welcoming their first residents."
Local artist, John Griffiths, who was named the winner of Crofton Springs’ recent Community Art Contest, joined the mayor at the event where the pair discussed John’s work, named ‘An Early Morning Walk in Pittville Park’.
Jordaynie Russell, the Home Manager at Crofton Springs, added:
"On behalf of our fantastic new team at Crofton Springs, I’d like to thank the community of Cheltenham for joining us for the Grand Opening of our home.
"We’re excited to welcome our first residents to Crofton Springs very soon, and offer the kindest of care to local people in the area. If you weren’t able to attend our Grand Opening, please pop in for a tour and a hot drink at any time."
