Newest Cheltenham Care Home Makes First Donation to Mayor’s CharitiesBrand-new care home in Cheltenham, Crofton Springs on Gloucester Road, has donated the proceeds from their Grand Opening to the Mayor’s charities.

The charities, including Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees and Friends of Sandford Parks, offer invaluable support to the community of Cheltenham, which the team at Crofton Springs also hope to provide.

Jordaynie Russell, the Home Manager at Crofton Springs, said, ‘Despite only opening our doors in October, we have been astounded by the sense of community in Cheltenham and the warm welcome we have received.

‘As well as providing top quality kind care to our residents, its our intention to always give back and support people around us through fundraising and regular events, open to everyone, which you can find on our Facebook page.’

The Mayor of Cheltenham, Councillor Paul Baker, collected the home’s donation on his second visit, the first being on the day of Crofton Springs Grand Opening where he said,

‘As well as offering a beautiful place to live the home will be filled with compassion, dignity, respect and most importantly joy. And it was a joy to meet and chat to staff who were all so friendly and smiley and looking forward to welcoming their first residents.’

Built to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly, Crofton Springs is an EPC ‘A’ rated care home. Through use of solar panels and ground source heat pump technology, the home can be operated as a Carbon Free Green home running without the use of gas.
