Shaun Bowen, a Senior Care Assistant at Llys Newydd care home in Capel Hendre, was delighted to be nominated as Newcomer of the Year at the prestigious National Wales Care Awards.
Shaun has been named by his Colleagues as a natural leader and an amazing carer. Despite only being in the care sector for 18 months, he has already achieved a QCF Level 3 and has been promoted to a more senior position.
The whole team at Llys Newydd are delighted for Shaun, after he passed the interview stages with flying colours and has now been invited to a second interview at City Hall in Cardiff.
Shaun has been selected out of hundreds of people to be interviewed and, if successful at the next stage, will be invited to attend the ceremony at the National Wales Care Awards.
Residents and Colleagues alike are extremely excited for Shaun and have wished him the best of luck in his journey.
