Newcastle care home helps those in need this ChristmasHC-One’s Orchard Mews care home in Benwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne supported the Feeding Families project this December which helps struggling families during the festive season.

The team at Orchard Mews put together some hampers for those in need this Christmas and with the help of Residents at the home, decorated and delivered the hampers to families in the local area.

Flora Dickson, Jean Denholm and Patricia Laughlin assisted Wellbeing Coordinator, David, and Maintenance Operative, Kevin, as they handed out the hampers on Thursday 19th December and Friday 20th December.

Everyone enjoyed seeing the smiles on the faces of the families when they received their hampers. Patricia commented: "It was a lovely idea to help people."

Nicola Coulson, Home Manager at Orchard Mews said: “I am proud to be part of such a thoughtful and caring community of both team members and Residents at Orchard Mews.

“It’s important to help those in need and I am pleased we were able to bring happiness to the local community this Christmas.”
