Team members at HC-One’s Sutherland Court care home in Fenham helped make Valentine’s Day extra special for two married couples living in the home.
The home’s café was transformed into a romantic dining area filled with Valentine’s Day decorations while the tables were dressed with candles and heart shaped chocolates.
Mr and Mrs Purvis, married for sixty years and Mr and Mrs Proctor, married for sixty one years were escorted to the café where romantic music played, both couples were presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers donated by Interflora and a delicious three course meal was served.
Both couples thanked the team for making the day extra special for them.
Karen Stewart, Home Manager at Sutherland Court said: “It was lovely to see the couples celebrating Valentine’s Day together, the smiles on their faces really said it all.”
