Newcastle Care Home Enjoys Success in CQC ReportHC-One’s Fleming Court Care Home in Newcastle Upon Tyne is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The team at Fleming Court were delighted to have received an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents and is ‘Caring’, ‘Safe’, ‘Effective’, ‘Responsive’ and ‘Well-Led’.

The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues at Fleming Court, and their report highlighted the ‘lively and friendly’ atmosphere at the home. Residents were overwhelmingly appreciative and spoke very highly of the care they receive on a daily basis, with quotes including "I am so well cared for", “I feel safe here”, and “there is always something happening”. Relatives were equally effusive, with one saying "Care is excellent. Staff know our mum."

The report also mentioned Fleming Court’s 'Resident of the Day' initiative, where a member of the Fleming Court team is specifically tasked with speaking to Residents to understand any particular wishes they have, and to turn those into reality, for example organising meetings with friends, special days out and shopping trips - there was even a visit to the opera!

HC-One Fleming Court Care Home Manager, Mark Culley said:

“We are delighted with this report which is a testament to the hard work and kind care that each and every member of the team puts in, day in day out.”
