HC-One’s The Elms care home in Whittlesey, Peterborough is has unveiled their new Tearoom for Residents and visitors to use.
Residents had expressed that they would like to turn an area of the home in to a space dedicated to being a place where they could socialise together or with their loved ones. The team at The Elms identified a space that was not being used to its full potential and transformed it into the new tearoom.
The tearoom is fully stocked with drinks and sweet treats which can be enjoyed by both Residents and visitors, there are also plenty of games that everyone can play together.
It is already proving to be the new popular space to spend quality time with friends or family, Elizabeth Denson, a Resident at The Elms said that the tearoom is what the home needed.
The Elms Home Manager, Katie Coulson said:
“Transforming the space into a dedicated tearoom has been such a great idea, Residents now have another place to socialise or take part in different activities.
“We all look forward to seeing more people enjoying the new tearoom throughout 2019.”
