New initiative makes dreams come true at Penrith care homeStaff have helped make dreams come true for Residents at Croft Avenue care home in Penrith after introducing a new wishing wheel to the home.

The wishing wheel, which was decorated by Activities Coordinator Maggie Magney with ribbons and a knitted sunshine, cloud and moon, has been put on display in the home.

Residents and staff wrote down their wishes and hung them on the wheel, with some dreams already coming true as staff have arranged for one Resident to go swimming.

One Resident commented: “The wishing wheel looks beautiful. I really hope my wish comes true.”

Jacqueline Johnstone, Home Manager at Croft Avenue, said: “The wishing wheel is a lovely addition to the home and has gone down really well with Residents and their families. We can’t wait to help more Residents reach their dreams.”
