Bereweeke Court care home, in Winchester, held a Nepalese Day Celebrations, this is as part of a weekly cultural celebration.
Every week Residents and staff will choose one country, from which the food will be served, music will be played and activities will be organised to celebrate the culture of that country.
Many Colleagues at Bereweeke Court are from Nepal and Residents do often ask about their culture. They loved finding out a bit more about the staff and their homeland.
The kitchen prepared some lovely treats from that part of the world and everyone loved it.
Home Manager, Bart Kulczycki, commented, “It was incredible to see Residents and staff enjoying very unusual food and music, it helped Residents to understand the cultural differences. I am very pleased with how the day went and hope we can do something similar again.”
