Residents at
Needham Court in Jarrow love trying new activities and this month have started an exercise club.
Both Colleagues and Residents love getting together and trying new activities so when Wellbeing Coordinator, Rebecca thought about starting an exercise club everyone was thrilled.
Each Monday, Rebecca runs a chair exercise club for Residents in all communities.
The first week was a success and eight Residents attended and since the classes have been on the number attendees has doubled.
It has been fantastic to see more people getting involved and taking part in keeping fit and healthy.
Audrey, one of the Residents, said, “I look forward to this club as it makes me feel good.”
Betty, who has also been attending the classes, remarked, “It makes me feel so good when I do the stretches.”
Joann Mills, Care Home Manager, commented, “It’s lovely to see new clubs being formed and that the Residents enjoy it so much. They look forward to every session!”
