As part of National Marine Week, the team at Eastbourne House organised for Jamie Dines from British Drivers Marine Life Rescue to talk to Residents about what their team do for the marine life on the north east coast and the wider British Isles.

Residents enjoyed listing to Jamie’s interesting and information talk, they also admired his lovely training seal which he brought with him. Everyone was interested to learn more about how marine life is changing and why it’s important to take care of our oceans.

Judith Peel, a Resident at Eastbourne House said: “As a former marine biology student I found the talk to be very interesting. The team at Eastbourne make a great effort to bring in varied and stimulating speakers.”

Jamie Dines, a representative of British Drivers Marine Life Rescue commented: “It was a pleasure to come into Eastbourne House and give a talk to the residents. It’s great to see people taking an interest in the local marine life and what we can do as a community to protect it.”
