Meadowbank House care home in Bolton have marked National Hug Day and Martin Luther King Day with an afternoon of celebrations.
The day began with the Home Manager relaying interesting information about Martin Luther King to the Residents, with everyone writing down their own dreams in a special speech bubble created by the home.
Following on from the Martin Luther King celebrations, National Hug Day was marked by Residents sharing a hug with their closest friends in the home.
Mary, a Resident at the home, commented: “The facts about Martin Luther King were fascinating. He sure can make a good speech!”
Kelly Champkin, Home Manager, said: “This event was really educational for our Residents, with everyone coming away with some new knowledge. It was also really nice to see everyone demonstrating their friendship on National Hug Day.”
