On Tuesday 8
th August 2017 HC-One Kesteven Grange carer, and mother of three Nannette Rogers decided to do ‘Brave the shave’ to raise money for Macmillan.
Nanette has worked at Kesteven ever since August 2004 as one of the homes care assistants, however due to a personal bereavement that was extremely close to Nannette’s heart, she decided she wanted to do her bit to support Macmillan Cancer Support.
Nannette has raised in excess of £1000 and is still accepting donations, via the Macmillan website and her own FB page.
She is also the GMB rep for our home and they too have raised a further £350 for Macmillan.
An afternoon with entertainment provided by Paul Brian saw Nannette have her head shaved by her friend Lyndsey Irving in the presence of residents, colleagues and families. This was an emotional experience for everyone; however we are extremely proud of Nannette and her selfless experience to “Brave the Shave”
