Musical moments for Glenrothes care home ResidentsHC-One’s Woodside Court in Glenrothes recently purchase some musical instruments for Residents to use while taking part in armchair exercises.

Marion Leslie, Wellbeing Coordinator at Woodside Court recently attended a seated exercise training day hosted by Active Fife, which provided some helpful ideas and insight into incorporating music and instruments into exercise for the physical and mental wellbeing of Residents.

The training has been quickly put into practice, with new musical instruments purchased and Residents are now enjoying regular armchair exercise sessions with music and instruments to help stimulate the senses and increase movement.

Woodside Court Home Manager, Nicola Procter said: “These sessions are having such a positive impact on the wellbeing of our Residents, I would like to thank Marion for taking the lead on this and helping our Residents stay active.”
