Betty Manson, a Resident at HC-One’s Redesdale Court care home in North Shields reminisced about her musical pastime with Wellbeing Coordinator, Stacey Taylor.
During some one-to-one time, Betty shared stories with Stacey about her love of the piano and how she took lessons from the age of give and went on to achieve certificates and even perform in dance halls. Betty also shared that it was how she met her husband.
Stacey arranged to have a electronic keyboard for her next one-to-one session with Betty, while Betty didn’t want to play full songs, she did show Stacey some of the basic keys and when Stacey played the demo music on the keyboard, Betty tapped her feet and sang along.
Redesdale Court Home Manager, Daniel Ridley said: “It’s so special to see Stacey incorporating Betty’s passion for the piano in to their one-to-one time, I am so pleased Betty is enjoying sharing her memories.”
