With restrictions further lifted Tameside’s
Holme Lea residential and residential memory care home has been able to enhance the activities for Residents.
Deborah from ‘Musical Delights’ has been able to come to the home in person and perform her songs in the garden with the Residents being able to sing and dance along with her.
This is incredible at this stage and shows how far everyone has come as a community by following the government guidelines. With combined perseverance and resilience, it has paid off and resulting in Residents being able to watch their first of many live gigs since 2020.
Despite the lockdown, Residents at Holme Lea haven’t missed a beat; singing, clapping and dancing along to every song, (even getting an encore from staff!)
One of the Residents remarked, “I love a good sing-along!”
Craig Hardman, Care Home Manager, commented, “It’s good to see the Residents enjoying themselves and singing along to the music, even having a socially distanced dance too!”
