Musical bingo at Hornchurch care homeCompetition was in the air at HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home as Residents took part in playing musical bingo together.

Boards and counters were handed out to each Resident, before Colleagues then beging to play the tune of well-known songs for Residents to check if they have the song on their boards.

This activity is useful for well-being as it helps to stimulate memories from each song a Resident may relate to, with exciting prizes to be won in the form of treats and sweets.

To end the activity, a tea trolley consisting of refreshments and biscuits was brought around for Residents to enjoy as they chatted with one another about the songs they enjoyed.

Tania Banner, home manager, remarked: “Musical bingo is a great activity for Residents as they can all join in, whether they play bingo or just simply sing along. It’s such a wonderful stimulator for reminiscence.”
