MS Huw Irranca-Davies visits Glanffrwd Care HomeGlanffrwd, in Pencoed, Bridgend was visited on Thursday 17th November by Huw Irranca-Davies MS, Senedd Constituency Member.

The 45-bed welcoming and purpose-built, residential and nursing care home, which is owned by HC-One, was delighted to welcome Huw Irranca-Davies and have some lively discussions about local and national issues. 

Eight of the Residents had pre-planned questions for Mr Irranca-Davies, who stayed for one and a half hours, ranging from concerns about the environment care homes. There were some very lively discussions ensued with Mr Irranca-Davies answering questions and explaining Welsh Government policies regarding the questions raised. 

Residents and Colleagues of the HC-One owned home enjoyed meeting MS Huw Irranca-Davies and chatting to him about what life is like at Glanffrwd care home – which is an integral part of the local community.

All enjoyed tea and cakes throughout the afternoon and Mr Irranca-Davies later commented on how much he had appreciated discussing various topics with the Residents of Glanffwrd, and he would hope to return in the near future.

“The Residents enjoyed the opportunity to talk with Mr Irranca -Davies and having questions answered. The issues raised by our residents were serious and so relevant. They were pleased to put their point across.
We were very pleased to welcome Mr Irranca-Daives to our home and enjoyed the afternoon.”
