MP visits local care home open dayMP Simon Clarke joined HC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough, to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day on 21st April.

The choirs sang ‘You Are My Sunshine’ at the same time, creating a ‘Big Sing’ that brings HC-One homes across the country together in unison.

To celebrate in style, Simon joined friendship dogs Daisy and Poppy with their handler Andy as they visited all of the Residents in the home.

The Whale Hill One Voice Community Choir performed at Park House which was followed by a royal themed afternoon tea in honour of the Queen’s birthday. A local policeman also visited the home and even sang a few songs for the Residents.

Simon Clarke was given a tour of the home and met with Residents and colleagues to see first-hand the kind care being delivered.

Park House Home Manager, Alishia Calvert said:

“Thank you to all who came to take part in Care Home Open Day with us, especially Simon. We all had a wonderful time sitting and chatting with our neighbours and celebrating the Queen’s birthday all in one day.”
