A Resident at HC-One’s Lothian House care home in Spennymoor, County Durham had his dream come true with Phoenix MCC came to visit.
Mark Spence has been a lifelong motorbike enthusiast and proud owner of a Sunbeam, he often speaks with fellow Residents and members of the care team at Lothian House about his love of motorbikes.
Care Assistant, Chelsea Whitworth reached out to the local Phoenix MCC group to ask if they would visit Lothian House so that Mark could see all of the bikes. The day of their visit, Mark’s face lit up as he saw all of the bikers and even had the chance to sit on a bike again. He reminisced about his riding days and spoke with the bikers about his Sunbeam.
A great time was had by all, Residents loved seeing all of the different bikes, especially Mark and the team said that the smile on his face said it all. Thank you to Phoenix MCC for taking the time to visit the Residents of Lothian House.
