Mothering Sunday at Park House care homeResidents at Park House, residential and residential dementia care home, in Redcar has a lovely day celebrating Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day was scaled down slightly this year but nevertheless the Residents still had a lovely day.

Each of the Residents had 1-1 time with the Wellbeing Co-ordinator and were all gifted a lovely primula plant, there were so many beautiful colours to choose from!

In the afternoon the tea trolley went around to the Residents rooms offering them a glass of wine and a beautifully decorated Mother’s Day cupcake, made especially by the kitchen staff. They went down a treat.

The ladies had a lovely day! They were overjoyed with their plants and were delighted to be able to choose their own plant. Each of the Residents had a preference to the colour they preferred.

One Resident, commented, “The primula plants were lovely and there was such a variety of colours to choose from.”

Getting to celebrate this special day was great for the Residents, they especially enjoyed their cupcakes.

Julie Woods, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We just want our lady Residents to have a lovely day, it was great to see lots of smiles.”
