Moreton-in-Marsh care home welcomes visit from furry friendsResidents at Oak Tree Mews care home in Moreton-in-Marsh welcomed a surprise visit from the Lollipop Ponies for a day filled with cuddles and smiles.

The miniature ponies visited Residents in the lounge and individual rooms for those who wished, as everyone loved meeting the furry friends.

Residents loved stroking the ponies’ soft fur as they cuddled the adorable animals and found out more about their diet and lifestyle from owner Isabelle.

The ponies even enjoyed a few biscuits from Residents as a well-deserved treat.

One Resident said: “Meeting the ponies was just lovely, I really do adore horses.”

Tracey Milsom, Home Manager at Oak Tree Mews, said: “Animal therapy is a fantastic way of engaging Residents living with dementia in a unique and calming way. We can’t wait to host more events like this in the upcoming months.”
