
Residents at HC-One’s Oak Tree Mews care home in Moreton-in-Marsh have been celebrating the 100
th birthday of fundraiser and army veteran, Captain Tom Moore.
Residents at Oak Tree Mews wanted to celebrate Captain Tom’s birthday by all creating a lovely card that acknowledged the huge amount of money he has raised for NHS Charities Together, by doing 100 lengths of his garden.
One Oak Tree Mews Resident said: “He is a wonderful man raising money for our NHS, it is nice that we are able to send him a card.”
Captain Tom Moore started with the aim to raise £500,000 for the charity, but after going viral and successfully completing 100 lengths of his garden, he has now raised over £30,000,000.
Oak Tree Mews Home Manager, Tracey Milsom said: “How wonderful that we are able to support the Residents to make a card to celebrate Captain Tom Moore’s 100
th birthday.”
