Month of activities at Dovedale CourtResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Dovedale Court care home enjoyed a month of excitement as the home held a variety of activities.

A local fitness group has enjoyed visiting the home each week as they have held ball exercise sessions alongside Tai Chi sessions each week, which has been enjoyed by Residents as they enjoy keeping active, also helped by the regular walks they have taken in the community.

The home also welcomed children from the local primary school, as they helped Residents to celebrate Chinese New Year by creating and decorating Chinese lanterns. The month was rounded off nicely as one Resident, Judith, celebrated turning 80 alongside her friends and Relatives.

Judith’s celebrations lasted three days as she spent each day doing something exciting, one of which she enjoyed going for lunch at a local carvery with a few of the other Residents in the home.

Deborah Cheshire, home manager, commented: “Our Residents have had a wonderful time this month, they enjoy regularly taking part in activities and it’s always lovely to keep active.”
