Caring Colleagues at Alexander Court Care Home in Sheffield have come up with a novel idea to help those Residents less able to get up and about stay entertained.
They have created a mobile trolley filled with books and magazines to take round Residents rooms. Residents can then choose what they want to read or simply have a chat about the books.
The scheme has gone down well and Residents love the independance of choosing their own reading material.
Looking at the various books has triggered reminiscence and plenty of lively conversation about favourite authors and childhood books.
This scheme is another way HC-One can keep providing the kindest possible care to Residents.
