Milton Keynes care home Resident celebrates centenary birthdayToday Highclere care home staff and Residents got together to celebrate the centenary milestone for Marjory Benjamin’s birthday and it was certainly a day to remember!

Staff had organised for a beautiful birthday sponge as well as decorations and a tea party with delicious treats for Marjory and fellow Residents to indulge in.

Marjory not only received her card from the Queen but she was also made to feel like a queen for the day herself with a sparkly tiara and a bright pink birthday sash, both with the year 100 printed on. The home was covered in decorations and a special ‘stop the clock’ was held where everyone sang happy birthday as well as Marjory’s two sons who joined in for a window visit.

Marjory received many cards from other care homes which she was delighted about. She also had lots of pre-recorded video messages from family far away which she enjoyed listening to. Everyone had gone above and beyond to make the day special.

The tea party was enjoyed by everyone at the home and Marjory had a day to remember. Many Residents were overwhelmed that Marjory was 100 and all were very pleased to be celebrating with her.

Home Manager, Farai Maringa, commented, “It was lovely to see everyone joining Marjory to celebrate her Milestone as we all stopped the clock at 12:00pm”
