Midweek Mass for Ashton-under-Lyne ResidentDolores, who lives at Kings Park nursing dementia care home on Tameside, attended Midweek Mass on 13th May with Wellbeing Coordinator Kayleigh and Care Assistant Jemma.

Dorlores, who is a devout catholic, has been unable to attend mass for more than two years, due to the coronavirus restrictions and ill health. She was supported in the home to pray with the rosary throughout this time, but this May she took communion at St Christopher’s Church with father Benneth and following mass stayed to be blessed and share a prayer with him.

When returning to the home later in the day, Dolores said that she is so glad to get back to mass. “I always loved going to mass, it’s important for me.”

Kayleigh and Jemma commented, “It was lovely for Dolores to finally have mass and see her smile.”
