Last week, HC-One’s St Clare’s Court in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, welcomed meerkats into their home courtesy of Joe’s Owl Encounters and Exotic Mobile Zoo.
The meerkats were set up in the lounge in a clear playpen so that the Residents could all enjoy watching them go about their daily lives, as well as learn all about them.
Most of the Residents took part in this visit and family members were also invited along to enjoy the experience.

“Seeing the meerkats was such an enjoyable experience, they were so interesting. It was great to learn all about their lives as well.”
St Clare’s Court’s Home Manager, Jason Parkinson commented:
“Everyone had a great afternoon when Joe’s Owl Encounters and Exotic Mobile Zoo came to visit, it was so lovely to see the Residents asking questions and really taking an interest. We’ll definitely be inviting them back.”
