Meadowlands Residents enjoy Christmas trip out togetherResidents at Meadowlands care home in Aberdare got into the festive spirit with a Christmas trip out together with staff from the home.

Everyone started the day by helping put up Christmas decorations around the home, followed by the Residents attending a local Christmas concert.

Residents were given the opportunity to feed the donkeys at the Christmas concert, which they thoroughly enjoyed meeting and stroking.

The festivities were then rounded up with everyone enjoying mince pies and mulled wine.

One Resident commented: “I had a really lovely time at the Christmas concert, especially feeding the donkeys which was a real highlight for me.”

Sandra Vernal, Home Manager at Meadowlands, said: “It was a pleasure taking the Residents out together to get in the Christmas spirit. Seeing the smiles on their faces was really rewarding.”
